Dance of the Ripe Tomatoes

The annual Dance of the Ripe Tomatoes event benefits the Philadelphia Fair Food Project whose goal is to provide fresh, locally grown products to Philadelphia and southern New Jersey. This festive annual block party event begins at 6 pm and features various food stations, heavy hors d'oeuvres from the White Dog Cafe and one draft beer from Flying Fish Brewery.

The speaker segment, from 6 pm to 9 pm, features locally renowned sustainable movement leaders. Musical guests, the West Philadelphia Orchestra, will play a selection of Eastern European songs, beginning at 9 pm to 12 am. Admission to the live music after 9 pm is free to the public. Tickets may be purchased at the White Dog Cafe prior to the event or on September 11th at the door.
