Flyers winger Travis Konecny leads the team with eight goals, tied for third-most in the NHL, and leads the team with 11 points through the first nine games of the season. Konecny, a first-round selection by the Flyers in the 2015 NHL draft, comes into tonight’s game one goal shy of 150 for his career.
The Sabres hold the league’s sixth-best penalty-killing unit allowing a goal on just 10.8% of opportunities against the man advantage. Buffalo has not allowed a power-play goal in five of its first nine games and has not allowed more than one power-play goal in any game this season.
Rasmus Dahlin, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NHL draft, has a point in eight consecutive games and leads the Sabres with nine points this season.
