Join Tails of the Tundra Siberian Husky Rescue as we recognize Responsible Dog Ownership Day and join in the celebration of the 1st Annual Pennsylvania Week for the Animals. Tails on the Trails is our 6th annual fundraising hike and picnic. The purpose of the event is to raise funds for the rescue, educate the public about the rescue and the Siberian Husky breed, and reunite with our alumni. We also have our foster dogs on hand to meet the public. We will have our merchandise table featuring hundreds of husky- and dog-related items as well as the Husky Essentials booth featuring everything you need for your Siberian Husky and/or sledding. New this year…John and Melinda Gordon, owners of Jake & Elwood's House of Chews and hosts of WRDV-FM's Doggy Talk, will emcee this year's festivities. John & Melinda host Doggy Talk on Tuesdays from 6-6:30 p.m. on WRDV-FM (89.3 in the Warminster/Hatboro area 107.3 in Philadelphia 97.1 in Bensalem area). Activities include a silent auction, Canine Good Citizen test, dog games, activities for the kids, microchipping, dog scootering, alumni parade, and various vendors. And, our most popular attraction…the Pennsylvania Sled Dog Club, who allow attendees to hook up their dog to the sled with their lead dogs. This event is Rain or Shine. All breeds are welcome. Come on out and enjoy the day with us!
