The Many Faces of Stereotypes, A Socially Conscious Art Exhibition

“The Many Faces of Stereotypes,” a socially conscious art exhibition of original drawings depicting the diverse faces of men and women of all races, ethnicity and religions has been extended at the Verdadism Art Gallery until April 30, 2009. These unique works-of-art are the creations of Soraida, the internationally recognized artist and social critic who since 1992 has been advocating social change through her paintings with written social commentaries. Soraida's Verdadism Art addresses racism, sexism, stereotyping and many of the social issues that plague societies worldwide, in order to advance peace, hope, tolerance and an understanding of humanity. This series of original hand drawn ink drawings was inspired by Soraida's original Verdadism painting, “Puerto Rican Stereotype: The Way You See Me Without Looking At Me.” (©1992) This exhibition ends April 30, 2009. Gallery are by appointment only. Please call 856-346-3131.
