Who can forget the thrill of riding a bike for the first time? The 2014 PeeWee Pedalers course is aimed at introducing youngsters who are learning to ride bikes to the excitement and thrill of riding on a velodrome (Bicycle Track), while teaching elementary cycling skills and basic bicycle safety. The PeeWee Pedaler course is open to boys and girls ages 5-8 who are able to ride a bicycle without training wheels. The youngsters will be brought through a fun filled course that uses obstacle courses to teach the riders bicycle handling skills and safety as well as track riding basics. After the completion of the PeeWee Pedalers program the 'PeeWee Pedalers' are invited to join the Pros on a World Series of Bicycling night of racing. The 'PeeWee Pedalers' will take several laps in front of more than a thousand spectators before completing an obstacle course to the podium area for pictures.
The PeeWee Pedaler course is held on Saturdays and runs over 4 weeks at a time. Each 4 session PeeWee Pedaler class is one hour in length and held at 9-10am or 10-11am. Parents are encouraged to stay and help out with the class.
Session 1: May 31-June 21
Session 2: June 28- July 19
Session 3: July 26- August 23* 5 weeks (4 Saturdays each)
