Elwyn Day Festival

The Elwyn Day Festival has combined with the annual Elwyn 5K to create an entire day dedicated to celebrating the community and the individuals Elwyn serves. Presenting a "Mummers" theme, the festivities kick off with the 5K Run/Walk registration at 8 a.m. The Elwyn Day Festival activities commence at 11 a.m.

The Festival, a longstanding tradition at Elwyn, is a day full of activities and entertainment for adults and children with disabilities, their families, supporters, friends, Elwyn staff and the local community. Serving as the Grand Marshal is Carl Cherkin, Vice President of Business Relations for the Philadelphia Union. Along with the Philadelphia Union and Wawa, Philadelphia Independence Blue Cross and Sun East Federal Credit Union are title sponsors for the event.

The Festival features a variety of activities and entertainment for all ages, including soccer games provided by The Philadelphia Union, the Philadelphia Zoo on Wheels, the Development Center’s Family Fun Day, a fresh produce sale by Greener Partners, live music by actor Chris Burk, from the ABC hit television show "Life Goes On", and his band, and much more.
