The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) of Eastern Pennsylvania will be kicking off their 8th annual "The Dude Hates Cancer" (TDHC) campaign on Wednesday, June 12th at Tir Na Nog (1600 Arch Street) from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. TDHC is an annual charity bowling tournament and fundraising campaign started in Philadelphia in 2006. This campaign aims to attract 400 participants and 40 teams, with the goal of raising $100,000. Teams compete in the tournament but also raise money through friends, family, corporate contributions and in the community. This year's Philly campaign kick-off party at Tir Na Nog is free to attend and will feature food and drink specials as well as a Lebowski-themed costume contest. This kick-off celebration will allow attendees to sign up to secure their slot in the 2013 bowling tournament which will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at North Bowl (909 North 2nd Street) in Northern Liberties.
