A desperate battle of wills, TAPE examines questions of motive, memory, truth and perception. It tells the story of Vince, a beer-drinking, boxer-wearing burn-out who has traveled to Michigan to see his best from high school, a trendy, aspiring filmmaker named Jon whose low-budget movie premieres the following day. Vince gets Jon to admit that ten years ago he date-raped Vince's high school sweetheart, Amy. He then reveals that he''s taped their conversation and he's invited Amy to have dinner with them that night.
