Travel with Jeff Jabco, Director of Grounds and Coordinator of Horticulture, on his 3-week visit to South Africa's wine-growing region of Stellenbosch, Cape Town's Kirstenbosch Botanic Garden, and the 'banana belt' area of Durban on the Indian Ocean.Hike (vicariously!) in the Drakensberg Mountains, on an elephant safari in Addo National Park, and drive across the Karoo desert. Plants native only to specific regions of South Africa make this country of such interest to botanists and gardeners!
Free and open to the public, Travels at One shares what has been discovered in various gardens both in the United States and abroad. Held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the Lang Performing Arts Center Cinema at Swarthmore College.
