Join garden enthusiasts and book lovers to discuss books about plants, nature, and the environment. "Nature's Narratives"? is sponsored by the Scott Arboretum. As part of the Community Read Program the arboretum has added a discussion on Grandma Gatewood's Walk (2014) by Ben Montgomery. A story of a woman who, to escape personal struggles, in 1955 embarks on a journey of several thousand miles of rugged terrain, alone ¦without any equipment ¦at 67. The first woman to through-hike the 2,100 miles of the Appalachian Trail. Free and open to the public. Participants need to read each month's selection. RSVP online or call 610-328-8025. Books will not be supplied. One copy is available in the Scott Horticultural Library for check-out. Members of the Scott Arboretum enjoy lending privileges. Limited to 12.
