Wednesday, April 13, 4 to 7 pm, Wister Center Herbs are wonderful, useful plants to grow in containers! Join Jeff Jabco to create herb gardens planted in split-wood bushel baskets. These baskets of beautiful fragrant plants add a rustic touch to the patio or deck, incorporated into the vegetable garden, or sited along a sidewalk or driveway, and they should last the entire season with proper gardening care. Participants will get all the materials needed in class to create a basket for home “ wooden basket, liner, soil, and a choice of several culinary, fragrant, and beautifully useful herbs and edible flowers to plant. Uses for the various herbs and edible flowers will also be discussed as part of the class. Limit 20.
