The Garden State Wine Growers Association will hold its first Spring Fever Wine & Food Tasting Sunday, April 3 from noon to 5 p.m. at The Merion in Cinnaminson. Twenty-four New Jersey wineries will be showcasing and sampling nearly 300 locally produced wines. Tickets will be $40 a person in advance by going to the Garden State Wine Growers Association website, and $50 per person at the door. Admission includes the sampling, gourmet Tuscany Bars, live entertainment by two bands, a souvenir wine glass and valet parking. Attendees can sample and buy wines by the bottle and the case. The event will be held in two of The Merion's ballrooms-The Palace, a French-influenced design with 16 foot high ceilings, crystal and gold accents and The Palazzo, a European design with 23-foot.high ceilings, all granite floor, marbleized columns lining the exterior and crystal chandeliers. This is the first indoor event sponsored by the Garden State Wine Growers Association. The organization sponsors five outdoor events each year between May and October along with wine trails in November, February, May and July.
