Deep Blue Sea will be an immersive arts experience that explores the relationships between the individual and the larger community, as well as performer and audience. On April 29 and 30, the Mann presents the Philadelphia premiere of Tony Award-winning director Bill T. Jones’ Deep Blue Sea, featuring a solo performance by Jones, an ensemble of 10 from the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company, and a diverse group of community performers featuring local participants. The show marks the start of the Mann’s new Downstage @ the Mann series, which places both audience and artists together in the same space, on the Presser Foundation Stage in the TD Pavilion, for an intimate, under cover, open air setting.
