Presented by the Mann & AEG Live Doors: 6:00PM, Showtime: 7:00PM All Ages Icons Blondie and Garbage perform together in concert at the Mann on August 2nd on The Rage and Rapture Tour with special guest Deap Vally. Blondie tours in support of their forthcoming album Po11inator due for release this Spring.

In Blondie’s newest project, Po11inator, they enlists a group of cool songwriters to contribute to the record weaving their own way into the living, breathing story of Blondie, a group that directly affected their own cross-polinating past – the fans and friends contributing material are Sia, Dev Hynes (Blood Orange), Charlie XCX, David Sitek (TV On The Radio), Nick Valensi (The Strokes), Johnny Marr (The Smiths), Adam Johnston, Joan Jett and John Roberts.

In the Spring of 2013, the members of Garbage – Shirley Manson, Steve Marker, Duke Erikson and Butch Vig – gathered in Los Angeles to start work on their sixth studio album.

Manson calls Strange Little Birds Garbage’s most romantic album. “And what I mean by romance, really, is vulnerability. I used to feel so scared, and think that was why I was so aggressive – but I’m much more willing to admit weakness than I was before.” For her, the retrospective feel of Strange Little Birds is more personal than musical. Each song, she says, addresses “different points in my life between me and a person I’ve loved. They’re hot spots in my life, when I was afraid, vulnerable, or didn’t behave at my best.”

Tickets are on sale now via MannCenter.org, Ticketmaster.com, 800-745-3000, the Mann Box Office or AEGLive.com.

If you are 21 years of age or older and plan to consume alcohol at the concert, please be prepared to present proper I.D. There is no re-entry once exiting the facility. No outside food or beverage are permitted for this performance.
