The Franklin Institute is teaming up with our friends at MakerBot to present the first ever Make-a-Thon. Between the hours of 9:30 am and 5:00 pm on Saturday, November 4. Kids from grades 4 through 12 are invited to test their STEM skills in a hands-on challenge, designing and 3D printing balloon-powered cars. Participants will learn the basics of 3D printing, then apply what they learn in real time. At the end of the event, cars will be raced and judged for creativity, innovation, and speed! All participants will be able to take home their own 3D printed designs, and winners will get exclusive MakerBot prizes. Join us at the Make-a-Thon!
