Pennsylvania Nonprofit SeniorLAW Center Invites You to Save the Date and Nominate for "6 Over 60"? Gala and Awards Ceremony February 18, 2015, PHILADELPHIA Pennsylvania nonprofit organization SeniorLAW Center is pleased to celebrate its work seeking justice for Pennsylvania Seniors with its 2015 Gala. This year's gala, 6 Over 60, will honor remarkable, Pennsylvania seniors whose efforts have made a profound impact on the community, and will take place Thursday, May 14, at the Crystal Team Room in Center City, Philadelphia.
The organization invites the public to join in recognizing the extraordinary contributions of seniors in the community by nominating a notable, Pennsylvania senior for the "6 Over 60"? Awards. Nominations are being accepted online at seniorlawcenter.org/6over60 through Friday, February 27.
Based in Philadelphia, SeniorLAW Center works in all 67 counties throughout Pennsylvania to fight elder abuse, fraud and exploitation; save homes; enable grandparents to raise grandchildren; advocate for senior veterans; and help elders plan for future health and financial care. For more than 35 years the organization has advocated for senior Pennsylvanians and their families, providing free representation, education and advocacy to more than 10,000 seniors each year.
Leaders of the legal, business, health care, aging services and community services sectors and other individuals and organizations who want to show their support for older Pennsylvanians are invited to attend this event. SeniorLAW Center is an independent 501(c)(3) legal services agency founded in 1978 as Senior Citizen Judicare Project by members of the Philadelphia Bar Association. Its original focus was to protect the legal rights and interests of Philadelphia's needy, elderly residents through a volunteer-driven program.
