Sogno Philly and Williams-Sonoma have teamed up to present instructional events this Fall at the premier culinary retailer's Center City store located inside the Hyatt at The Bellevue at Broad and Walnut Streets.
The first event, an intimate chef's table demonstration, is scheduled for Thursday, October 8th between 6:30pm-8:00pm. The theme will spotlight "Homemade Hand Crafted Pasta" featuring an Italian dinner representing beautiful fall flavors with instruction provided by Chef Joe Polutro of South Philadelphia. Attendees will have the opportunity to be up close and personal while Chef Joe demonstrates; will be able to ask questions as well as converse with the Chef. This event is sponsored by Whole Foods Market on South Street.
The evening will start with a first course: Bruschetta made with Organic Heirloom Tomato and Fresh Mozzarella, topped with imported Prosciutto Di Parma, and finished with a rich aged balsamic vinegar and fresh basil. Then, Chef Polutro will demonstrate his secret in making fresh pasta with the second course: Tuscan-style Organic Veal and Sausage in a fresh organic tomato sauce with Toasted Fennel Seeds and Herb Ricotta served over handmade Fettuccine. The evening will end with complimentary dessert, coffee and socializing.
