This month's lecture, led by Dr. Sandra Tatman, Executive Director of at the Athenaeum, will provide a lively and informative discussion about Michel Bouvier's Secretair a Abattant -- or desk, c. 1830 -- which was made for Joseph Bonaparte, brother of Napoleon Bonaparte. The Bonaparte desk is part of the Athenaeum's permanent collections. Interestingly, Michel Bouvier was First Lady, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis', great, great grandfather.
