'Quake' by Melanie Marnich

Recipient of two Samuel Goldwyn writing awards and two Jerome Fellowships, Melanie Marnich is one of the freshest, most innovative voices in contemporary American theater. Quake follows its female protagonist on a cross-country mission, traversing the American landscape through hilarious and eccentric relationships in which time and emotion pass in a warped instant. This contemporary play premiered in the 2001 Humana Festival at the Actors Theatre of Louisville, Ky. Directed by Amy Feinberg, associate professor and head of the Theater Management and Production program in the School of Theater Arts and producing artistic director for The Hypothetical Theatre Company in New York City. February 26 28, 8 p.m. Arts Bank Theater (601 S. Broad St., Philadelphia). $18 general admission $9 seniors (65+) and students with ID.
