Phoenix Amplified Jazz Experience - Khani Cole

Flat 9 Entertainment presents the Phoenix Amplified Jazz Experience on Saturday, October 29, 2022, featuring Khani Cole! at The Tempe Center for the Arts. The amazing Khani Cole is returning to the valley of the sun for a special concert event! Special guest Vaughn Willis has been added to the show lineup!

Acclaimed singer/songwriter Khani Cole began her ascent into national and international consciousness after relocating to Phoenix, Arizona, from her native Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in the early 90’s. It was this move that sparked the inception of her first release on Fahrenheit Records, “Piece of My Soul,” which included guest solos from Joey Defrancesco and Brian Bromberg. Her follow-up release, “Places” was produced by Grammy-winning producer Michael Broening and accompanied by guest soloists Nelson Rangel and Marion Meadows. This song garnered her the “Top 30” new adult contemporary (NAC) radio single, “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy.”

Throughout her career, Cole has toured extensively throughout the United States and abroad, including some of the most prestigious venues and festivals. In 2010, she performed “Moodys Mood for Love” with George Benson at the 2010 Playboy Jazz Festival Hollywood Bowl. Cole’s amazing melodic talent has secured her the opportunity to perform and(or) share billing with a number of prestigious musical figures such as George Benson, Grover Washington Jr., Joe Sample, Joey Defrancesco, among a host of others.

Over the years, she toured and maintained a strong local brand in tandem. In her home base of Greater Phoenix area alone, she performed over 200+ dates while expanding her career globally. With an eye on her European exposure, Expansion Records (Sony/3MV) released her Lifetime album, which quickly climbed the European radio charts. After a move to the East Coast, Cole now resides in the nation’s capital, Washington, DC. Her most recent release is a compilation of all three of her works entitled “A Collection.”
