Jena Osman reads from her prismatic poem Motion Studies, which follows a couple hoping to shake off spiderwebs of data to live surveillance-free in a world that accepts the ubiquitous surveillance of unwilling citizens. Jena is also the author of Corporate Relations, the book that inspired Ted Hearne’s Sound from the Bench, a 2014 commission of The Crossing that was a Pulitzer Finalist.
In conjunction with Motion Studies the concert, on Sunday, November 21st at the Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill and Justine F. Chen’s world premiere Shallow Breath and Stealth which is based on Jena’s poem.
