After debating the Declaration of Independence, the Founding Fathers continued the discussions in taverns and pubs of colonial Philadelphia. In celebration of Philly Beer Week 2010, Christ Church Preservation Trust introduces a new 20 minute tour that focuses on Philadelphias beer history and its connection to those buried in the Christ Church Burial Ground. Highlights include stories about three signers of the Declaration of Independence: Benjamin Franklin, a brewer of his own beer Francis Hopkinson, the author of Battle of the Kegs and Benjamin Rush, who promoted beer as a healthy alternative to water and created a Moral Thermometer Chart urging temperance in the consumption of alcohol. **Tickets cost $2 per adult, $1 per student, or $10 for groups of up to 25 people. Proceeds benefit Christ Church Preservation Trust
