Experience this amazing double bill with blues musician, Taj Mahal, and gospel group, The Blind Boys of Alabama! With a career that began more than four decades ago with American blues, two-time Grammy® Award-winner Taj Mahal has broadened his artistic scope over the years to include music representing virtually every corner of the world”west Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, the Hawaiian islands, and so much more. This self-taught singer-songwriter and film composer plays the guitar, piano, banjo, and harmonica. His Grammy®-winning albums include Señor Blues (1997) and Shoutin' in Key (2000).
The Blind Boys are recognized worldwide as living legends of gospel music. Celebrated by the The National Endowment for the Arts with Lifetime Achievement Awards, inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, and winners of five Grammy® Awards, they have attained the highest levels of achievement in a career that spans over 70 years and shows no signs of diminishing. The group's latest album I'll Find a Way was produced by Justin Vernon (of Bon Iver). This is a unique collaboration between one of popular music's most enduring acts and one of its fastest-rising stars. It's a powerful collection of gospel and spiritual songs new and old.
