The unique name of the event derives from a tradition of having a Monk lead the pack. Alexs Lemonade Stand Foundation was approached to adopt the Running of the Monk last year and jumped at the opportunity. ALSF is commemorating the 10th Anniversary of Alexandra Alex Scotts first front yard lemonade stand in 2010, and found it fitting to host the 10th Annual Running of the Monk within the milestone year. Running enthusiasts and all supporters of the battle against childhood cancer are invited to participate or attend the event. The run fee for those who register by May 27 is $25... The run fee for those who register by May 27 is $25 per person, and $30 on race day. The Kids Fun Run fee is $10 per child (12-years-old and under). The registration fee will include a t-shirt, BBQ and drink ticket (21-years-old and over only).
