Germantown Country Dancers will demonstrate intricate English country dancing. It is considered social, community dancing and originated in the 17th century. Dancers, dressed in elegant, authentic period costumes and accompanied by live music, take a different partner for each dance and join a "set" of couples. Each couple dances a series of figures and interacts with everyone in the room. Their repertoire includes dances popular in the 1650s all the way up to dances written this year. No prior dance experience required. If you can walk, you can dance!
