Behind the hallowed walls of our city’s world-class institutions and inside the board rooms of its most dynamic businesses, interesting stories are unfolding every day.
In its 4th year, the Rydal Park Lively Fall Speaker Series is proud to open a window into those landmark organizations—to share some of the history and reveal some of the mystery that makes our city’s icons so iconic.
On Friday, October 7th, Rydal Park will welcome Tom Keels.
About Tom: Author, lecturer, storyteller and tour guide, Tom Keels is as fascinating as the tales he tells. An historian with a specialty in all things Philadelphian, Tom will hold forth on our city’s GOLDEN AGE OF RETAIL, walking listeners through the once-bustling aisles of Wanamaker’s, Lit Brothers, Strawbridge & Clothier and Nan Duskin, to name just a few of the retail legends of the not-so-distant past.
All talks are free and open to the public on a limited, reserved-seating basis by calling 215-376-6292.
