For the third consecutive year, five popular local media figures will present insightful talks about their careers this October, when Rydal Park continuing care retirement community presents its 3rd Annual Rydal Park Lively Fall Speaker Series. The series will again be hosted by veteran Daily News columnist and Rydal Park resident Harry Gross, with all talks free and open to the public on a limited, reserved-seating basis by calling 877-933-6699.
This talk will be hosted by Philadelphia Inquirer's Culture Writer Stephan Salisbury. Salisbury joined the Philadelphia Inquirer in 1979, was part of the Pulitzer Prize-winning team that covered Three Mile Island, and became the paper's first cultural correspondent in 1982. He's been deeply involved in every story of major cultural and artistic significance in Philadelphia, winning prizes for writing about attacks on the National Endowment for the Arts, and has focused public policy debate through extensive coverage of Philadelphia's budget crisis on arts funding. His reporting is directly responsible for the retention of important local historical and artistic objects, buildings and sites. He is also an author.
