The Friends of Rittenhouse Square will be hosting a free, all-ages event in celebration of Halloween. The celebration, co-chaired by Sabrina Thorne and Carter Caldwell, will invite the community to come in costume for a parade around Rittenhouse Square, followed by a seasonal party-in-the-park complete with balloon animals, face painting, apple cider and more.
“The Friends of Rittenhouse Square are excited to host this event for the first time in Rittenhouse Square Park, where families of Philadelphia can celebrate the season while also enjoying the beauty that the Friends work to maintain year-round,” said Friends of Rittenhouse Square president Bart Blatstein.
The costume parade will begin at 5:00pm at 18th and Walnut streets at the formal entrance to the park and will head towards the newly-restored Billy the Goat statue near the corner of 19th street and Rittenhouse Square.
