Our last Meetup of 2016 will focus on the practical challenges of building (and financing) your Maker business. Our speakers will include Chris Quintero of BOLT.io (the international venture fund for hardware products based out of Boston) and Jonathan Frankel of the recently launched, Nucleus (recipient of major funding from Foxconn and Amazon).
Yasmine Mustafa of ROAR will be returning to provide an update - she has come a long way since her hugely successful crowdfunding campaign. Yasmine keynoted our very first Maker Meetup!
The program begins at 5:30 with a one hour, table-top Showcase of great local Makers. Presentations will start PROMPTLY at 6:30.
We will also be awarding door prizes, including a $250 Nucleus as well as a $200 Canary All-In-One Home Security System. The prize winners will be selected at random from among the list of those who RSVP for this Meetup. Of course, you must be present to actually win, though there is no charge to attend.
During the evening, attendees will be given the opportunity to 'shout-out' their networking interests and to opine on how to make Philadelphia a better place for Makers to prosper.
