Join renowned photographer Lois Conner on a day of exploring Philadelphia's own Fairmount Park. Beginning with a critique of your previous work, you'll gain insights about the art of landscape photography and learn how to find moments of intimacy and humanity in the landscape.
Then, you'll head into the field for an intensive shooting session under the guidance of the instructor. Working within a setting that embodies the tensions between the natural and the man-made, you'll gain practice making images of the landscape that reflect the culture of the people who live within it.
This workshop is a part of ONWARD Summit, an annual photography conference and networking event for those who are inspired by unique imagery and perspectives. This year's Keynote speaker is renowned photographer and author of the best-selling book Detroit Disassembled, Andrew Moore. Summit will also invite photographers, Vincent Feldman and Justin Maxon, to participate in a panel discussion which explores new trends and developments in photography. ONWARD Summit will be held this year on March 1&2 in Philadelphia.
