Fifis, the longtime owner of Ponzio's, lost his battle with lung cancer in 2007. His final wish was that his friends and family raise money to support lung cancer research. His family decided to createe The Jim Fifis Lung Cancer Research Fund to honor Jim by supporting lung cancer research at Cooper University Hospital. The September 20th benefit dinner will feature classic Ponzio's food, drinks and desserts as well as a silent auction.
