Annual Irish Breakfast

JUDGE LYNN HOSTS ANNUAL IRISH BREAKFAST FETE CELEBRATING THE CULTURE OF THE EMERALD ISLE For Release: Immediate March 13, 2013 Common Pleas Court Judge Jimmy Lynn's annual St. Patrick's Day breakfast bash, a high-spirited party celebrating the culture and energy of Philadelphia's Irish is set for Sunday, March 17, 2011 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at The Plough & the Stars restaurant, 2nd and Chestnut street. The bash is the 14th annual clan gathering. It brings together a wide range of local lawyers, media types, professionals, drawn from civic, labor and governmental ranks. Many of the guests present their individual talents in song, poetry readings, comical toasts and other entertaining diversions during the early morning hours. The public is invited and encouraged to attend the breakfast and party. As usual, both bar and traditional Irish breakfast service is available. Cost is $25.00 covering full breakfast and sessions of jubilant Gaelic entertainment and good fellowship. The loose-knit, anything-goes program usually features crowd surprises. Like listening to local newsmakers reciting a famous Yeats or Joyce passage; hearing media personalities reading an Oscar Wilde poem. And, as a bonus, hearing Judge Jimmy Lynn bellows his trademark tenor take on "Danny Boy" among other Irish lilts. -30-Contact: Don McDonough, 267-679-1674 Coverage Cordially Invited.
