Mural Arts Philadelphia with Bart Yasso (former Chief Running Office of Runner World) and Mark Sullivan (runner of all 25 Philadelphia Marathons) will kick off training for the 26th Philadelphia Marathon Weekend with Mural Arts Paint Day & Philly Marathon Weekend Run. Last year at the 2018 Philadelphia Marathon Weekend, voters picked Kala Hagopian of Hagopian Arts to paint the mural that encompasses the history of running in the City of Philadelphia. Attendees of the event will meet at the bottom of the Art Museum Steps at 8:00 a.m., and will train according to distance. Set your own pace by choosing between the 3, 6, or 10 mile run. Finish in River Field Park where there will be music, refreshments, giveaways and the start of painting the mural until 10 a.m. All attendees receive a commemorative towel and have an opportunity to win Phillies tickets.
