On Sunday, October 1st, J D Evans Solutions and Otto’s Taproom & Grille are partnering with the Philadelphia Fire Department Foundation to host a fire prevention block party from 3 to 6 p.m. on 29th Street between Girard Avenue & Thompson Street in Brewerytown. This free block party will raise awareness about National Fire Prevention Month, which takes place every October, and to support the Philadelphia Fire Department Foundation.
Folks can expect blazing fire truck displays, a smoke detector giveaway and raffle drawings with fun prizes. Otto’s Taproom & Grille at 1216 N. 29th St. will offer complimentary honey lemon thyme focaccia ice cream sandwiches and will donate a portion of October sales to the Philadelphia Fire Department Foundation, which aims to promote fire safety education to Philadelphians.
Residents will also have the chance to connect with neighboring businesses and organizations including The Boozy Mutt, Fairmount CDC, The Brewerytown Sharswood Community Civic Association, The Philadelphia Water Department, Philadelphia Department of Public Health, Department of Streets, and Office of The District Attorney.
