2017 SuperBowl Smackdown

The American Marketing Association, Philadelphia Chapter (AMA Philadelphia) is pleased to announce its highly anticipated Super Bowl Smackdown event has returned for 2017. The event, which features a panel of senior-level marketers, will take a critical look at his year’s Super Bowl Commercials to determine which brands were most successful. The evening will be hosted by Normandy Farm Hotel and Conference Center in Blue Bell, PA, on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 6-9 pm.

Super Bowl ads have become a cultural phenomenon. AMA Philadelphia has led conversation around the ads with its Super Bowl Smackdown event held annually since 2008. This year’s event will gather regional marketing professionals and features a panel of expert marketing leaders who will spark a lively debate to assess the top Super Bowl ads from this year’s big game.

“Marketers throughout the Greater Philadelphia Area are encouraged to bring their enthusiasm and join AMA Philadelphia’s experts in critiquing these high-profile ads,” states AMA Philadelphia President, Kelly Raible. “Attendees will gain insight from top executives as they delve into the effectiveness of the ads, discuss trending themes, and debate the return on investment for these high-profile campaigns. Overall, it’s a really fun evening for those who enjoy marketing strategy.”

Everyone will be talking about the ads in the days following the game; but only AMA Philadelphia brings together regional industry leaders for an organized debate. First-rate networking opportunities, festive fare, and drinks will round out the evening.

This year’s panelists include:
Brian Cavalucci, National Advertising Manager, Subaru of America
Tami Jermyn, Vice President of Marketing, Victory Brewing Company
Edward Harris, Vice President of Marketing & Communications, Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board
