The museum welcomes visitors to tour its exhibits and utilize the research library and extensive archives for historical and genealogical research. The exhibits have been designed to tell the personal story of the men and women who served our country during the Civil War. The exhibits focus on the personal memorabilia of the veterans, highlighting those with personal ties to the city of Philadelphia and the region. The museum is the only one in Philadelphia dedicated to the history of the Civil War.
