The National Liberty Museum is proud to announce its upcoming exhibition: "Seeking Freedom: Six Artists' Journeys from Oppression to Freedom.� More than two dozen sculptural works in glass from six artists who fled Communist homelands between 1960 and 1990 will be featured, alongside the stories of their perilous escapes* and quotes from the artists on how their lives are different in America. Participating artists include Latchezar Boyadjiev (Bulgaria/ Czechoslovakia), Jose Chardiet (Cuba), Janusz Walentynowicz (Poland), Martin Rosol (Czechoslovakia), Binh Pho (Vietnam) and Pavel Novak (Czechoslovakia). There is no additional charge to view this exhibit and all works are available for purchase.There will also be a FREE Opening Event for all Museum members and donors on Thursday, June 28 from 5:30-8pm. The event will include a flameworking demonstration by renowned glass artist Lucio Bubacco, who hails from the glassblowing capital of the world, Murano, Italy.
