In celebration of cancer survivors, patients and supporters, The Philadelphia Multiple Myeloma Networking Group (PMMNG) along with the Central and Northern New Jersey Multiple Myeloma Support Groups will host the 6th Annual Miles for Myeloma 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, April 26, 2014. Please join more than 1,000 participants for this family-friendly event that benefits the research initiatives of the International Myeloma Foundation and Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Multiple Myeloma Financial Assistance Program.
Myeloma is the second most common blood cancer that affects an estimated 750,000 people worldwide. While treatable, there is not yet a cure for this disease. By starting a team, volunteering, or becoming a sponsor, you will support research toward finding a cure as well as assisting the many local families impacted by myeloma with the heavy financial burden of having this type of cancer.
