The 11th annual Free to Breathe® Lung Cancer 5K run/walk and 1-mile walk in Philadelphia will take place on Sunday, November 1 to raise awareness and funds to assist the fight against lung cancer. The disease kills more American men and women than any other cancer. Organized by Free to Breathe, a partnership for lung cancer survival, proceeds from the event will benefit lung cancer research, education and awareness programs. The beautiful course starts in front of the Please Touch Museum in Memorial Hall and winds through Fairmount Park's Horticultural Center, past the Japanese Teahouse and finishes right in front of the Please Touch Museum.
The event will include a silent auction, kids' activities, the musical stylings of WMGK DJ Andre Gardner throughout event day and a special Survivor’s Tent. New this year is an After Party hosted by Miles for Marc. Everyone is invited to bring their own picnic or purchase food from the food trucks on site. Enjoy live music from the WMGK house band, Musician Impossible, and participate in yard games and kids' activities. Take this opportunity to get to know your fellow teams, learn more about Miles for Marc's mission and upcoming events, and warm up after the race!
