LEGOLAND Discovery Center Philadelphia (the ultimate indoor playground) is counting down to the New Year and kicking off new decade in a bricktastic way!
This New Year’s Eve (12/31), families are invited to celebrate the New Year at 12pm with a ceremonial LEGO ball drop and festive activities including:
• 2020 LEGO Ball Drop: At the stroke of NOON, a LEGO Duplo Ball will drop from the Discovery Center’s Build Challenge to celebrate the start of a new decade. Sparkling apple cider will be served for families to properly toast to a new year.
• Winter Wonderful MINILAND: A winter-fied LEGO recreation of Philadelphia will house a miniature ball drop every hour, along with celebratory fireworks every 15 mins.
• New Year, New Moves: Multiple dance parties throughout the day with LEGO costume characters including Emmet, Lloyd, Officer Brick and Bonsey the Skeleton.
While families celebrate the new year, they can also check out the Discovery Center’s Holiday Bricktacular for a bit of last-minute holiday fun, including LEGO snowflake and gingerbread house builds, selfies in LEGO Santa’s sleigh and a LEGO replica of Philadelphia transformed into a winter wonderland.
