A Summer Afternoon of Music, at Laurel Hill Mansion Featuring Composer and Guitarist Allen Krantz
Join Women for Greater Philadelphia for the grand finale of the “Concerts by Candlelight” summer series at the historic Laurel Hill Mansion. On Sunday, August 24, at 2pm, acclaimed Composer/Guitarist Allen Krantz will perform a captivating program of classical works by Bach, Scarlatti, Giuliani, and Albéniz. Set in the beautifully preserved 18th-century octagonal room overlooking the Schuylkill River, this concert offers a blend of world-class music and historic ambiance, a perfect mix for a summer afternoon.
After the concert, you are invited to a reception with light refreshments, where you can mingle with other guests and meet the artist inside the beautifully preserved Laurel Hill Mansion.
Guests are encouraged to arrive early to stroll through “Timeline,” the outdoor sculpture exhibit on the mansion grounds, on view through October 17, 2025. Feel free to bring a picnic and relax on the lawn before the music begins to enjoy an afternoon designed for art lovers, music enthusiasts, and history buffs.
