This workshop is a must for anyone seeking work on-camera. 80% of on-camera work requires an actor to be proficient in reading teleprompter software. This skill is invaluable for those seeking work in TV hosting, commercials, corporate and film. Kathy Wickline developed this workshop based on high demand from actors like you. Many of Kathy's clients cannot even audition an actor unless they are proficient with this skill.
So set aside one afternoon to learn from the same teleprompter software used by professionals. In this workshop you will be taught how to read fluidly from a prompter using either commercials or corporate scripts.
You will also learn movement, expression/hand placement, timing and how to work as a team with a teleprompter operator. After this workshop you can add Teleprompter Proficient to your resume and be sure to let your agent know about your new skill!
About the Instructor:
Dave Thomas has been working in front of and behind the camera for more than 25 years. Dave is an Emmy Award-Winning, Media Savvy, Creative Thinking, Broadcast Journalist, Educator and Business Owner withTelevision, Film and even Radio experience. From former Presidents of the United States like Bill Clinton, to famous icons of the music, sports and comedy industries, such as Sir Elton John, Chase Utley and Bonnie Hunt, just to name a few, he has worked with many well known celebrities.
In particular, Dave spent two years studying one-on-one with the Academy Award-Winning actor Jack Palance,who helped craft Dave's art of on camera presence and line delivery. From producing several award-winning documentaries to continuing on as a judging member of the National Academy of the Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS), Dave Thomas's work has appeared on many major television networks including ABC, NBC and FOX. Dave continues to inspire dozens of students to conquer this competitive industry in every role.
