“Homage to you whose two eyes, like the sun or the full moon, radiate a pure, clear light.” Tara is a manifestation of the ultimate wisdom of all the enlightened beings. Because she is a wisdom Buddha and a manifestation of the wind element, she is able to swiftly help us increase our love and bring harmony to our relationships.
On this day, we will receive Tara empowerment and an explanation and introduction to Tara practice. This practice shows us how to quickly solve our daily problems through a daily meditation practice. With the practice of Tara, we use our imagination to recreate our self as a loving and wise being who cares for others like a mother for her dearest child. Through the power of this pure imagination, we will quickly become an enlightened being just like Tara.
This empowerment and commentary will be given by Resident Teacher, Gen Tenzin.
10:30 – 10:55am: Registration in Louis Kahn Park (across the street)
11am – 12:45pm: Empowerment
2:00 – 3:15pm: Commentary
3:30 – 4:15pm: Tara Practice
Cost: $60
Everyone is welcome. No meditation experience is necessary.
