Join us for a day of day of remembering Max, a young kitten who lost his life at the deliberate hands of a young child. Our goal is to educate kids on the importance of proper handling and care of animals. This event will be outside, weather permitting. In the case of rain, it will be postponed. Please bring a blanket as we will be spacing out on our large front lawn. Our dedicated volunteer team will run a series of 8 stations, each consisting of various games and activities that are designed to teach children of all ages in a way they can understand, Light refreshments will be available, as will hot dogs, and a bake sale. A minimum donation of $10 per child will be requested to cover the cost of materials being purchased for this event. Each child will receive prizes for games, bubbles, a certificate of kindness given at the end of the event, and a light snack. The event will conclude with every child being given a small container of bubbles to release into the air in memory of our beloved Max.
Max passed away at the tender age of 4 weeks and was entirely preventable. Our goal is to educate children and hopefully prevent one more animal from facing the same fate.
Children of all ages are welcome and their families. All children must have at least 1 supervising adult with them at all times. We welcome church groups, youth programs, scouts, daycares, ALL children are welcome.
Call 610-606-1885 to register. This is important so we know how many certificates and supplies to purchase.
This event has been entirely organized by a pediatric occupational therapist from a prominent area hospital and is being run by many volunteers whose "real" job is in the health care, social work, and educational fields. We are very excited to share this program with you and your children!
