DECK THE ALLEY SCHEDULED FOR DECEMBER 6, 3:00 PM -7:00 PM On Saturday afternoon December 7, 2014 - Elfreth's Alley, one of America's most visited tourism sites, will host its most popular event, Deck the Alley. This is the only time in the holiday season when the residents of the nation's oldest street open their homes to the public.
Visitors will enjoy unique holiday decorations, carolers, refreshments, as well as encounters with Ben Franklin, Dolley Madison and colonial Pennsylvania's own cranky Santa "Belschnickel"himself.
Carriage rides, story tellers, authentic 18th Century mummers will add to the festivities. Visitors can inspect our unique upside-down Christmas tree and attend a special author- event. The authors of two new books on old Philadelphia will be available to emboss copies - a very special Christmas gift item.
More information can be found at the Elfreth's Alley website or via [email protected]
Tickets may be purchased via Ticketleap.
There are special family and group rates available.
