WHAT: Philadelphia’s premiere family philanthropic organization, Cradles to Crayons®,is moving up its annual Gear Up for Winter Un-Gala fundraiser to November 10th&11thin order to get ahead of the cold weather and help prepare Philadelphia’s children for the year’s harshest conditions. All proceeds from the Un-Gala will benefit Cradles to Crayons Gear Up for Winter initiative, which aims to provide 12,000 local children with warm clothing and heavy coats this season.
The 10th Anniversary Un-Gala Preview Night is hosted at the Cradles to Crayons Giving Factory where guests are invited for an entertaining evening of specialty cocktails and a silent auction. Unique items available for bidding include: Dinner for 10 at the Food Network Kitchens in New York, Disney on Ice suite for 12, live tv audience tickets, Penn State football package, several vacation getaway opportunities, and much more. Guests must be at least 21 years old to attend.
The 10th Anniversary Un-Gala Family Day brings friends and families of all ages to the Cradles to Crayons Giving Factory for an impactful day of fun and hands-on community service. Members of the Family Leadership Circle and Gear Up for Winter supporters will enjoy a morning of sorting, inspecting and packaging items for local children in need, followed by a hot luncheon. Music, face painting, balloon artists and a photo booth add to the fun. All children & teens who attend Un-Gala Family Day will receive commemorative t-shirts.
