Each of these groups convene at The Intersection, AWE’s premier annual event. We come together to identify new founders with promise, connect founders who’ve already achieved, and recognize the community that supports both of their efforts to grow.
The day begins with The AWE Pitch where finalists compete in front of a panel of female funders and founders utlizing their improved skills. Once the final founder has delivered her pitch, the networking begins.
Always a key aspect of the evening, this event provides the only opportunity to connect face to face with AWE’s entire dynamic network.
AWE will then present the Iris Newman Award to Ellen Weber. The award is given to someone who epitomizes the spirit of Iris Newman, an AWE founder who made an incredible impact in advancing women entrepreneurs.
New this year will be the presentation of the Vertex Award, given to a woman founder who, having reached the summit, has changed the face and direction of women’s high-growth entrepreneurship. The inaugural award will be presented to Raegan Moya-Jones.
