Gusten Rudolph started taking drum lessons when he was four. The child of two musicians, music was always in his life, and from his earliest memory, he was drawn to drumming. Gusten kept playing and practicing through middle and high school (where he was in the jazz band and led the drumline) and graduated from Rutgers University with degrees in Jazz Performance and Music Education.

Now, Gusten’s career consists of playing professionally with different ensembles throughout the Tri-State area and working with students of all ages helping them experience the joy and challenges he so greatly appreciates about the process. Professionally, Gusten has been fortunate to be featured on some incredible recordings and to have toured Asia and across the United States playing with different groups. His philosophy includes a focus on teaching the musical skills while fostering the life lessons that will help his students be successful in all of their endeavors.

Jazz Bridge, an award-winning nonprofit dedicated to assisting Greater Philadelphia Metro area jazz and blues musicians and vocalists in times of crisis, sponsors these neighborhood concerts throughout the region to keep the sound of Philadelphia alive.
