Philadelphia New Year's Eve Midnight Run 5k

Remember that bridesmaid's dress she said you could "always wear again"? This is that opportunity! A Healthy alternative New Year's celebration returns to Philadelphia! Now in its fifth year, the Philadelphia New Year's Eve Midnight run, a 5K (3.1 mile) footrace is becoming a staple in the Philadelphia running community. It is to be staged again this year at Citizens Bank Park in South Philadelphia. At the Stroke of midnight, participants will ring in the New Year by completing the course wearing their best formal attire. Cash will be awarded to the top man and women, and evening wear awards will go to second and third place. There's no better way to start off the New Year than by participating in this fun-filled and cost-efficient event. We're going to be having fun, maybe you should too?! Limited open bar starts at 9PM and the race begins at midnight.

Where: Race begins adjacent to the Mike Schmidt Statue at Citizen's Bank Park, 1 Citizens Bank Way, Philadelphia, PA 19148

When: Wednesday, December 31, 2014, open bar starts at 9 PM, race begins at 12 AM

Entry Fees: $65, late registration and advanced packet pickup will be Tuesday 12/29 from 12PM-630PM at the Philadelphia runners store located at 16th and Sansom.
