Martina Plag, founder and creative director of performance atelier stadium-praxis, takes the art form of puppetry to a new level with fellow performers Justin Jain, Genevieve Perrier and John Jarboe. Performances will be held May 8-10, Friday and Saturday, May 8-9 at 8pm, and Sunday, May 10 at 3pm in the CEC Meeting House Theatre located at 3500 Lancaster Avenue in Powelton Village/University City. General admission is $12, $10 for students and seniors. An intermingling of traditional folktale with a contemporary immigrant's story, crane's promise gently explores the nature of love, promises and betrayal, taking the art of puppetry to a new level. A cast of three actors creates arresting visual images through their skillful manipulation of puppets, masks, objects and space, transporting the viewer through the piece's largely unspoken narrative.
